Morris Nyambo is an experienced birding and wildlife guide known for his deep knowledge of the country’s birdlife and its spectacular natural heritage. With years of experience guiding travelers through Tanzania’s wilderness, he has built a reputation for combining expertise with a genuine passion for nature.
Growing up in Matamba village, Njombe, close to Kitulo National Park, surrounded by Tanzania’s diverse landscapes, Morris developed a fascination with wildlife at a young age. Birds, in particular, captured his curiosity, and he spent countless hours observing them in their natural habitats. This early passion grew into a lifelong commitment to learning and sharing the wonders of Tanzania’s ecosystems.
Morris has led birding and safari adventures across many of Tanzania’s most celebrated destinations, including Udzungwas, Ulugurus, Ruaha, Kitulo, Mbeya, Rukwa, Katavi, Serengeti, and many more. Skilled at identifying a remarkable range of bird species, he provides guests with both an educational and inspiring experience—whether they are first-time birdwatchers or dedicated naturalists.
For Morris, guiding is about more than spotting wildlife—it’s about creating meaningful connections with nature. He champions responsible tourism and conservation, ensuring every safari is both memorable and respectful of the environment. Guests appreciate his approachable style, enthusiasm, and ability to bring Tanzania’s biodiversity to life.
When he isn’t on safari, Morris actively contributes to conservation initiatives. He has been involved in avian research projects such as the Tanzania Bird Atlas, where he participates in field surveys, data collection, and behavior monitoring. Beyond research, he enjoys wildlife photography, capturing the beauty of birds and animals in their natural habitats. Morris is also dedicated to community outreach, sharing his knowledge to inspire greater appreciation and protection of Tanzania’s natural resources.
